Our Beef
Our Beef comes from the Davis 20 Ranch a fifth generation family owned and operated ranch located in Thornberry, TX. The cattle are raised very similar to how they were over 120 years ago when the ranch was founded. There are two different ways that all the cattle are raised, if the calf is born in the spring it will be put out on the wheat fields. After the calves are weaned, they will spend the winter on wheat fields. The cattle will continue to grow in the open pasture eating wheat and hay all winter long. We plant our own wheat on every pasture that the cattle will be on, and we also use our own hay that is oftentimes grown on the same field that the cattle are on during the winter. Once the spring comes the cattle will be brought in from the wheat fields. They will then be finished out on grain. Our feed is made up of grains as well as wheat hay that is grown on the ranch.
If the calf is born in the fall once the calves are weaned and they will be put out on an open pasture and finished out on grain. Once the cattle have reached the desired size and have reached their maximum quality, they are sent to a USDA inspected packing facility.
All of Davis 20 Beef is 100% USDA Inspected and labeled. Our beef is vacuum sealed and then individually packaged and Labeled.
